A Weekend in Baltimore
What I packed for a long weekend and a few activities I got up to in Baltimore
I always think I am organized until it’s time to pack for a trip. Will I ever learn? Probably not.
Here is what I packed for my trip to Baltimore and how I think about packing.
THE BASICS:
Duration: 4 days (Thurs-Sun)
Events: ~11
Weather: mornings/evening 50s/60s, daytime 70s/80s

I am someone who needs to pack by event/outfit (especially for such an event-based weekend), rather than packing a load of tops and bottoms and making outfits from them once I’ve landed. However, once my main outfits are solidified, I pack a few extras for variety. This trip, that included a white tee, black button up, graphic tee, silk pant, heels, and my go-to denim.
I typically style my airport outfit last using items from my other outfits. That being said, I came across this photo on Pinterest and went rogue from my usual airport outfit plan. I knew upon arrival that evening plans were simple, so I kept my first outfit of the trip easy with a white tee, blue jean, and sandal.

Rolling into Friday morning, I packed a workout set plus outerwear for group yoga on the UA promenade, breakfast, and a bit of pickleball in the park. Recently I have been debating my 3 style words, which I previously said were chic, effortless, and feminine/playful. I am now ruminating on my third word, leaning towards cool. A few people chimed in on TikTok and said chic, feminine, and sporty. Although I am not 100% about feminine, I am really warming up to the idea of sporty, potentially in place of cool. Thoughts?
With that in mind, I loved the addition of a sporty tee and then a gray sweatshirt over my shoulders to add some chicness.

For an early Friday evening happy hour, dinner, and Fed Hill bars, I planned to wear a denim shirt and short combo. It was hotter than expected, which I gladly accepted because I got to wear my koi fish dress!!
I want to mention my A.EMERY sandals. I bought the Shel Sandal in a tan suede and love the look of them. Unfortunately they are so uncomfortable since they tie around the ankle, and have been giving me blisters. I will say, they have gotten much better as I break them in, but my gosh. Howbeit, the Margaux sandal seen below have been much better and I wore them all weekend long.

Saturday, a full day ahead.
It was cooler in the morning than I was expecting, so before I knew that I put on a simple black linen dress. I quickly went back to change into the denim on denim outfit I mentioned earlier for Friday. This outfit was just meant for strolling around town, aimlessly into markets and shops, while getting to know more of Baltimore.

This is where it gets tricky. I was styling one outfit for three different activities. The events kicked off around 3PM at Pickle’s Pub, into a 4PM Orioles game, followed by a pirate ship sail (I cannot make this up), before ending the night at bars in Fells Point.
I opted for a black maxi skirt and tank considering the hot weather, and added a scarf to bring a little edge into the outfit for the baseball game and pirate ship. I’ve also just been loving adding scarves into my outfits lately.

And lastly, another airport outfit to take me home. I love wearing my silk pants to dress up an outfit a bit, but remain comfortable for activities.

EXTRAS:
Aside from packing extra pieces for alternative outfit options, I always make sure to pack lounge/sleepwear, workout gear, different bras depending on the outfit, and accessories (bags, belts, jewelry).
A new potential style word for you: earthy? Organic? Idk if that makes sense lol
