There’s not that much I could say about a cafe/bakery (yes there is), so I’m keeping it short and sweet! These are very loosely broken up by area (east - west - south - central) with a short blurb about a few below.
Popham’s: Multiple locations, you cannot go wrong with any. Go during lunch time too for tasty soups and toasties!
Jolene: Another spot with multiple locations, but the one on Redchurch St is my favorite for the morning, and the one on Newington Green serves up a fabulous dinner in the evening.
The Spence Bakery: I’m still thinking about their Guinness cake two years later. Do with that what you will.
Stokey’s: Down the block from Spence! It also serves as a mini grocery shop as well.
Violet: This was on my list to try for ages and I am so glad I finally got around to it. It has entered my favorites list!
TOAD: I’m convinced they can do no wrong here.
The Dusty Knuckle: Honestly, they are a triple threat. Serving delish pastries, drool-worthy sandwiches, and pizza (in the summer Th-Sun), they don’t miss!
Next Door Records: Sip on a caffeinated drink while you listen to music and peruse their records.
Layla: A forever favorite. I love Layla.
Foreign Exchange: A coffee shop, newsagent, and exchange bureau. Very cool concept!
Cromwell Place Cafe: I love the interiors/space here and if you get lucky, there may be an art exhibit on as well.
Café Vins: A nice solace in the heart of shopping in Soho.
Monocle Cafe: I grab a coffee and cardamom bun here every time I’m walking around Marylebone.
Arôme: Try the honey butter toast and report back to me, thank you.
Abuelo: I’d stop in here if you are strolling around Covent Garden.
Nanushka: Yes, there is a cafe in the back of their store!
Boxcar Bread & Wine: A bigger sister cafe to Boxcar Baker & Deli! Gorgeous space and delish pastries.
Also in London guides: eats! and drinks!
