LONDON GUIDE: SHOPPING!
Vintage shops, markets, boutiques, and the rest of my favorite places to shop in London.
We all know I love COS and Massimo Dutti (especially since it’s cheaper when shopping across the pond), but here are a few other stores I also enjoy shopping at while tubing around town.
Alex Eagle: Shopping for fashion? Alex Eagle. Art? Alex Eagle. Furniture? Alex Eagle. You just want to browse for some inspo? You get the idea.
Vout: I usually pop into this vintage shop on Sunday after walking through the Columbia Road Flower Market. Never too overwhelming!
Goodhood: A well curated store with all things fashion and lifestyle. They offer a cool selection of Japanese brands and one of my favorites, Wales Bonner. You know the vibe.
House of Vintage: They have two locations, but I always make an effort to check out the one near Broadway Market when I’m around. Love going through their jackets and jeans.
Pandora: You can find it on maps by searching Pandora Dress Agency. It’s a fab luxury vintage store!
Dover Street Market: 99% of the time I am window shopping DSM, but it’s always fun for a browse!
Choosing Keeping: The stationery store that is worth the hype that it receives.
Present & Correct: Just a 10 minute walk from Choosing Keeping is another wonderful stationery store where you’ll probably walk out with a notebook you didn’t need.
Hato Press: A newish quaint shop with books, magazines, artisan goods, and various collabs.
Liberty: I love getting lost in here, but I love getting lost in here when they have a sale even more. It’s one of my favorite department stores, even just for a browse. Try to get there earlier to beat the crowds, and make a stop on each floor!
Bicester Village: Part of Bicester Collection, Bicester Village is one of twelve global shopping villages I’ve had the pleasure of shopping at a handful of times. New season Loewe at The Outnet price? I’m there. Additionally if you are a Soho House member, I’d reccommend making it an overnight trip and staying at Soho Farmhouse nearby.
Emin + Paul: Opened by Emin Young and Paul Kim who I had the pleasure of meeting in 2023, this is one of my favorite London-based stores! I always gravitate towards their jackets and make it a point to stop in when I’m in town.
Rejina Pyo: I discovered and fell in love with the brand while it London! Rejina is a South Korean designer and I love going in store to try on all of her fabulous pieces.
Marby and Elm: Located on one of my favorite streets, Exmouth Market, Marby and Elm is owned and operated by the most wonderful Eleanor. She is so funny and encouraging. If you’re not going to shop for prints, cards, or oversized matchboxes, I would go in just to have a chat. All of my favorite spots on Exmouth can be found in eats! and drinks!
Kings Road/Sloane Square: General shopping area/street! Not as busy as Regent and Oxford Street.
Portobello Road Market: Your classic Notting Hill street market with vendors and shops selling clothes, jewelry, records, antiques, and everything in between.
Lovers Lane: Hand curated vintage shop, also in Notting Hill!
Also in London guides: eats! drinks! cafes + bakeries! markets + outdoors!
